Human Rights Watch - Country Reports — This link will take you to the index for country-specific reports and documents published by Human Rights Watch. From here, you can also search for HRW documents by region or specific issue.
U.S. Department of State Country Reports — Each year, the State Department releases a detailed compendium of human rights practices in different countries. These reports, submitted to Congress, cover internationally recognized individual, civil, political, and worker rights as set forth in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Detained Torture Survivor Legal Support Network — The Detained Torture Survivor Legal Support Network is operated by Lutheran Immigration and Relief Services with funding from the U.S. Office of Refugee Resettlement.
Human Rights First — Human Rights First (formerly the Lawyers Committee for Human Rights) promotes human rights through legal and advocacy work. Their website provides access to several resources related to political asylum, international refugee policy, and torture.
Human Rights Watch — Human Rights Watch is an independent, non-governmental organization that investigates and exposes human rights violations worldwide.
International Rehabilitation Council for Torture Victims — The Denmark-based IRCT is an independent, international health professional organization that promotes and supports the rehabilitation of torture victims and works for the prevention of torture worldwide.
National Religious Campaign Against Torture - National Religious Campaign Against Torture (NRCAT) is a growing multi-denominational faith-based organization committed to ending torture, cruel, inhuman, and degrading treatment.
Physicians for Human Rights — Physicians for Human Rights (PHR), an organization of health professionals, scientists, and concerned citizens, uses the knowledge and skills of the medical and forensic sciences to investigate and prevent violations of international human rights and humanitarian law.
Redress — Redress is a London-based human rights organization committed to helping obtain justice and reparations for survivors of torture. Their site has an extensive database of international treaties, laws, case judgments, and decisions as well as informational links.
Torture Abolition and Survivors Support Coalition (TASSC) — TASSC International is an organization founded by and for torture survivors; its members represent over 60 countries and ethnic groups. TASSC seeks to “break the silence” surrounding torture through advocacy, education and legislation.
The Victims’ Rights Working Group — The VRWG seeks to broaden awareness of the needs of victims of human rights abuses, and help insure that their concerns are met through the judicial process of the International Criminal Court.
World Organization Against Torture — This international consortium is described as “the world’s largest coalition of non-governmental organisations fighting against arbitrary detention, torture, summary and extrajudicial executions, forced disappearances and other forms of violence.”

Human Rights Internet — HRI is dedicated to providing in-depth informational resources for human rights activists, organizations, researchers, and others. This searchable site includes extensive access to articles, publications, and databases as well as a comprehensive documentation center.
United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights — The office of the HCHR is mandated to prevent human rights violations, secure respect for all human rights, promote international cooperation to protect human rights, coordinate related activities throughout the United Nations, and strengthen the United Nations system in the field of human rights.
University of Minnesota Human Rights Library — This site provides extensive resources related to international human rights agreements. Searches can be carried out in several languages, including French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, and Russian as well as English.
